M'rella is 83% done

This whole Marc/Cole thing is not working.

There was no chemistry between the two for 60% of the book, then there was "making love" and all of a sudden they were an item...
But now, just like THAT *snaps fingers*, out of the blue, there is "something coming between them". WTF? Did I miss a hundred pages or so? O.o

Come to think more of it, there is almost no m/m here either. However, this being P-town, the majority of male characters are gay.
The story so far is about past family secrets and a stormy relationship of one very straight captain with his very straight wife and a lover.
I am not sure how to rate it when I am done.
