You know for a book where the heroine organizes her comic books by how much they have been influenced by third wave feminism, two out of three of the main female characters are depicted as jealous evil bitches.

This book has been mostly reasonable and self aware, but Jesus do we really need another "catty pretty girl makes comments about the main character's appearance" scene. Seriously this white girl with hourglass figure self doubt is hilarious.

"Burning me with mortification like Sherman burned Atlanta" is a great line.

Okay so a lot of ludicrous/borderline questionable things have happened, but they are actually addressed. I'm kind of in awe. (Still think the word slamp is a suppperrr questionable euphemism though.)

So this actually isn't terrible but it hits ALL THE CLICHES

Holy shit this is so unprofessional. I don't even know what to say. Even after the whole intentions/actions discussion too.

This is turning into "conventionally attractive white woman moans about how she's not beautiful" and ain't nobody got time for that. But maybe the controlling/abusive ex boyfriend might be the saving grace once it's addressed.
