I’m not surprised to learn that medical practice is woefully biased against diagnosing sleep disorders. The first two chapters of this book introduce the stages of sleep and discuss the history of sleep medicine and research. It’s also a disappointing reminder that political shifts in our government can have vast implications for scientific and medical progress.
