1631 pages? I don't remember it being nearly that long. Granted, translations will vary in length, but not by a thousand pages. I wonder if I accidentally read a condensed version...

No, this contains all (or nearly all?) his other novels and short stories, 'The Master and Margarita' just happens to occupy the last 420 pages or so.
