Either my time away from this book or the shift in content thanks to beginning a new chapter has helped make the reading much more engaging. Was in a funk the last few times I attempted so am glad to be back to not force-feeding myself the text.

Gonna have to put this one down for a bit. Really can't get into it. Easier to read now than it was while I was in a vacation slump, but still mostly gnat straining as it is a rhetorical criticism and makes mountains out of every Franklinian mole hill. Overall a good read, just really tough right now to keep at it. Will return later.

This is becoming a hard read. Not sure why. It's very much a textual criticism, which isn't the lightest of territory to tread, but it's also part of what I focused on in my schooling so it's nothing new. Perhaps I'm still in a funk with the chapter I just finished because I attempted to read the dense argumentation amidst our California vacationing. Back into routine, new chapter, here's hoping it's fresher

Not sure if the writing is overly dense or I am, but the last few reads have been more difficult (and fruitless) than I'd prefer
