Surprise the Goodreads Choice Awards are still a massive fucking joke. Romance, Fantasy, YA fantasy, YA fiction AND ROMANTASY are all separate categories with literally the exact same kind of books in every single one.
Why is the new Cassandra Clare in general Fantasy, when what it is has literally multiple other categories?
(Nothing for books for kids under YA age. Just saying.)

No Science & Technology section either. Just History/Biography and general non-fiction. 🙄🙄🙄 And you can't submit your own choice (or maybe I missed that?)

The books they have are not that good. Many good books are being left out for internal marketing and sale reasons.

This is 100% just so they can give multiple awards to romance-y fantasy type books Tiktokers like.

I vote because some of the books are just awful. I don't want them to win. So it is not so much that I vote for good books but against really bad ones.
