Mildly annoyed at the “chess causes mental illness” nonsense. “The game’s close association with a particular variety of mental illness suggests that something particularly destructive may lurk beneath the surface for some players.” C’mon man. Using high profile cases over the game’s thousands of years of existence is suspect when the same problems are true of composers, artists, other athletes, etc.
