If it's a book you can easily get at your library or re-obtain, I would not be concerned or guilt-ridden. If it's a book that is hard to otherwise find, I would urge caution. Oh, but these are childrens' books? Hmm. Nostalgia is indeed hard to overcome. I've never gotten rid of my childhood books. I still have them all, gnarly looking and taped together.
