If only the pacing in the last quarter of this book was present in the first three quarters. Maybe Sanderson and I can do a "speed it the hell up and get to the good parts already, you jackanapes" class together.

Not that he really needs it, seeing as how the depth of the world building is so compelling even when things drag a bit...

Not really feeling this Lift character and her "awesomeness"...but digging the thawing of the ice betwixt Kaladin and Adolin.

Now THIS is more like it...sic 'em, Kaladin.

Captain's Log: Stardate...um, well, whatever day today is in geekspeak. Going is slow. Kaladin is jumping around a lot. Still no sign of cookies for reaching the 50% mark. Energy flagging.

I get cookies for reaching the halfway point, right?

Nice to have everyone together in one place.

Also, how on earth is this series going to last for 10 books??

Ah, good--things are finally happening...

Enjoying this, but methinks it could use some judicious editing (said the pot to the kettle).

While I think that, in real life, I'd rather be Shallan (no, not to have lady parts...because scholaring, you know), I find the Kaladin/Dalinar chapters much more compelling at this point.
