truly so beautiful and well written, even something as quick and simple as a passing mention of Rodrik’s fall at sea brings to mind old master paintings of stormy seas and billowing winds.
it’s so fun finishing a chapter and then seeing the name of the next POV switch and immediately considering all the possible scenarios and reactions that might pop up. love the camaraderie between snow and tyrion so much

every character feels so real, so flesh and blood. nuance with every interaction really just sells it all and traits that are reoccurring actually have consequence i love it!! i love you samwell tarley you hulking coward!!

really love how fleshed out all the relationships are. i know that these books are super name heavy especially a book or two in but it’s a fun challenge keeping all the relationships and houses in order in my head. also jon snow.. id die for you.
i never watched much of the show but seeing more exposition on some of the early short scenes is so nice, especially noticed it in the Bran climbing scene
