So far it is brilliant. It is a fantasy world that is beautifully laid out and does not rely on the classical Tolkien view of the genre(orcs, elves, dwarves, etc). While only partially complete, I can say with confidence that Sanderson is a master of his craft and if you need a break from the tired tropes of magic and faries that this is a good bet.
