So far, it's definitely been solid as a spooky suspense/horror novel for the season. There's set ups and payoffs and I'm enjoying piecing things together bit by bit. It's definitely making me realize I probably have a favorite genre - suspense/mystery. Horror doesn't always have to go in with that and I'm grateful that much of the violence has thus far been left to the imagination. Looking forward to finishing it.
