Re-reading. Always amazed by this book

How is it possible a book can be better the second time you read it? Blown away by the deepness this novel took me inside my heart. This book was so much more unnerving and compelling than the movie and I loved the movie, too. The ending made me cry. That last long paragraph where Pat finally realizes Tiffany loves him for who he is...flaws and all. Just broken to pieces by it. Lovely.♡

Life is hard,Pat, and children have to be told how hard life can be.

Take what he gives you and be happy--that is what we do right?

I am so happy I alter my route and run at least 15 miles instead of ten, and when the sun sets, the clouds in the west are all lined with electricity, which I know is a good omen.

It hurts to look at the clouds, but it also helps, like most things that cause pain.
