Jayson
Jayson is on page 30 of 190

Notes:
(1) Issue #7 finishes the two-parter that the last volume ended on.
- I don't know why they didn't just include this one there. This volume's seven issues long, so there's no reason the last one couldn't be.
(2) I know Spawn in concept is supposed to be a kind of Batman who kills. This issue, however, feels distinctly Lobo.
- Just over-the-top, absurdist destruction.

Jayson’s Previous Updates

Jayson
Jayson is on page 175 of 190

Notes:
(1) Between issues #12 and #13, Bedrock from Youngblood has his name changed to Badrock.
- The real-life lawsuit from Hanna Barbara is incorporated into storyline, and played up with a group sing-along of "The Flintstones" theme.
(2) This volume ends with the first issue of a two-parter, same as the previous one.
- So, it looks like this may be a thing going forward.

Notes:
(1) So, the missing Dave Sim issue wouldn't have been missed were it not foreshadowed in the Gaiman issue preceding it nor repeatedly referenced in the Miller issue following it.
- Of all the guest issues, it's unfortunately the linchpin. Which is ironic since, in and of itself, it's very skippable.
(2) Of the three included in this book, Gaiman's the clear standout.

Notes:
(1) I'm actually looking forward to this one. Todd McFarlane was rolling in so much dough at the time he got Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman and Frank Miller to guest-write issues.
(2) Notably, this collection omits issue #10, guest-written by Dave Sim, which I'll read and review separately.
- Dave Sim, for various indiscretions, is permanently blacklisted from the industry.
