My hypotheses that this book has a quite low rating is: Unmet expectations. Well, with that kind of cover people will surely demand a world destruction, chaos and all. While in fact, the first half of the book is a corporate story. Think THE SOCIAL NETWORK. Only dealing with disasters. And I, bound by no such expectation, found this refreshing. And Rich's prose is flowing with charm.
