Okay, I already read this book once this year. I gave it a positive review. I enjoyed the second book. So naturally, I should continue onto the following books, right?

I start it again, because I am itching too hold the beautiful Broken Binding special edition in my hands and enjoy the illustrations! Oh, and the second read is SO MUCH RICHER then the first.

It's mindblowing to me that I think this book is far from being the greatest series opener I've ever read, but something about it captivates me like little else. This is generic, tropey fantasy set in a world that just BURSTS with life and potential. It feels basic, but it's my second read of it this year and I just keep on feeling addicted. Could this be the best 7/10 ever?

This book is so likeable, that I'm reading one cliche or trope after another and I STILL feel immersed. Hopefully, though, this isn't the case for the entire series. What I hated in John Gwynne, I'm enjoying here. What gives? Clearly, I can't answer that.
