Yeahhhh. I tried.
Another one bites the dust.

I equally want to never pick this up again and also finish it out of shear spite that I've spent 12 hrs listening to it so far

I'm stuck at 68%. I don't /not/ want to finish but I also have lost total interest since it had to be returned to the library. But I really tried to stick with it so I want to count it as complete!

I know I'm supposed to be feeling tension here but I have lost so much interest. It just feels like it could have been a standalone.

Oh my gosh I thought this was a trilogy and that's why it was dragging but it's a duology 🤦‍♀️

I know we're building up the big bad but it has felt like a drag. Lots of action in the beginning, then we hit land and it all slowed down and got disjointed.

I feel so jaded. 😅
The moment a perky quirky character comes on the scene I immediately think they're gonna die later on. I hope I'm wrong for Gen.

Now we got the first half tied in more. That's good.

Still feel like the first 30% is disjointed from the rest and now it's going slow.
Also going to lose it to the library before I can finish it so I'm trying to power listen.

I know that it fulfilled a bit from the first book, and it was entertaining, but it also kinda felt like the first 30% was just treading water exploring the possible ship of the MC and her dragon friend.
Knowing the rest of the book is going to pivot to something different makes me wish this part was shorter or maybe a novella of its own.
