Why did they think it was a good thing that the maids are going to end up indentured servants to those women lest they be found out as the ones that were written about in the book? Logically, it makes no sense that this would be a good thing for them because the mistreatment can continue behind closed doors - the help is not inherently protected from the institution of racism here.

Skeeter is still irritating me. I remain firm on my stance regarding her romantic storyline with Stuart. Her character somehow manages to acknowledge and dismiss the concerns and fatal ramifications should the book's true players be revealed, and that never really sits right with me when I read her internal dialogue.

So far the romantic storyline between Skeeter and Stuart seems to be irrelevant in adding to the plot.

Skeeter is so fucking annoying.
