Islam also helps to answer the question which might be posed to a Buddhist: What is the connection between the metaphysics of unity...and the quality of compassion...which presupposes both an agent and a recipient?....We would answer in terms of Islamic metaphysics that the oneness of Reality strictly implies compassion. For the oneness of God is not simply exclusive, it is also inclusive.
