Just finished the chapter on “improvement” and it’s so wild to me that the concept of “improvement” is relatively new. I can’t even fathom living in a world or society where improvement wasn’t an assumed value. It’s helpful to think through these things but also disorienting realizing how temporally situated we are 🤯🥴😵‍💫
