I feel like if I had read this in high school, I would like it better. But, I'm just finding Belly annoying...She's extremely self-centered and just totally oblivious. It may have to do with the voice of the narrator making her sound even more whiny and annoying. And I'm sure I acted like her when I was her age. But, I'm really not feeling it.
