Aw, you should join our VBC, Wick! I am intending to explain the magic to the best of my ability for those who either need to know or don't intend to continue the series! As well as letting folks be (rightfully) annoyed at how dense the first book can get.
You're right I'm too harsh on this book! It just didn't work well for me and I still have a bad taste over it. Maybe I should reconsider
Eh, I can exist in a world where people have different feelings of a book they read :) I just mean that maybe it'd be fun to muddle through it together.
I had to shelve it for now. I was kind of liking it, but my focus kept unraveling with the audiobook and I finally admitted it was a lost cause. I'll have to try this again in a different format.
I’m listening to it and often find I haven’t a clue. At the moment, I’m ok with that, and I’ve heard it gets better at about 30%, so I’ll wait, since I’m only at 13%
