It’s too early in the book for this, but I don’t like the author/narrator or her writing style. Reminds me of a couple other memoirs I’ve disliked where there’s an overall “woe is me, I’m a victim” vibe simultaneously with a “you won’t believe what a rebel I was” narrative. Surprised it’s rated so highly. Maybe my opinion will change but this seems superficial and poorly written.
