Occasionally frustrated because studies are talked about as though actions happen in a vacuum - for example the # of women in STEM as linked ONLY to biology with no discussion of societal gender roles / environmental factors as alternate explanation. Hustvedt hints at it but would prefer a more thorough discussion around it.

I feel like Hustvedt has been pretty mild with how previous essays were worded compared to this one on Knausgaard and I like this one most tbh - roast him girly

learning about a lot of new to me artists & each essay leaves me with lots to think about

on the other hand - can’t read more than one essay at a time without getting names etc. mixed up so it’s slow going
