(1) Quite an eventful last issue. It shuffles up who's with who, and several characters experience permanent physical change, namely the addition and subtraction of appendages.
(2) It's interesting to note the prevalence of single-parent families.
- Really, the only two-parent household is the royal family, though the Queen's imprisoned, so not necessarily in tact.

(1) I'm convinced the faerie Myrien is based on Starfire from Teen Titans.
- They both have the same pupil-less bug-eye look and also the same bewilderment about human compunctions against nudity.
(2) The gang discovers a hot spring and skinny dips to warm up.
- Functionally, it fleshes out personality, pardon the pun, importantly exposing Yorik's anti-magic bigotry.

- Issue #1 was a lot of action and plot development.
- Issue #2 was a lot of filling people in on events and talking about feelings.
(2) Both Wynd and Yorik hate attention.
- Prince Yorik wants merely to be a historical footnote, not the cause of war.
- Wynd doesn't want to be anyone's messiah, though he clearly is.

(1) I don't know why they decided to rename the series. Seems like needless rebranding, since this is titled "Book Three," directly continues the story, has the same creative team, and "Book Two" issues weren't renamed.
(2) I wonder whether romance will play a role in this book. We got a bit of that at the end of the last one, but that may end up being a false alarm.
