The sexual harassment of Les by Buck is continuous. I hate that the author is playing it off as just a physical manifestation of love and he just can't help but he can and should.
Also, the love triangle is predictable. Red falling for Buck even though Buck is clearly in love with Les seems like self-sabotage. It's predicable where its going hut let's see.

Well, Buck finally got beaten up for pursuing someone against their will, but of course, the author framed it as a step in their romance and finally had them have sex and stuff.
The drama of the horse being killed is clearly to have Les have a hero moment or it will drive Buck to leave.

The story is still doing its slow burn and I suspect that Red is being used as a 3rd potential, don't know why but yeah. Sad about Mama, but upset about the way she's depicted. Very misogynistic tones.

We get to know a bit more about everyday life at the ranch. I found myself genuinely surprised about enjoying the slow burn.

It gives excellent insight into what the farm life is like and the character growth of Les and Buck even has a bit of a character arc even though he's still chasing Les.

The second chapter was great. Finally figured that the writing style is in the third person, I just couldn't recognise it.
Again Buck is written with a modern attitude and his harassment of Les doesn't make sense. Also Red needs to stop being silly. Constant access to sex doesn't = love.

The narration confused me as we get to experience Buck through the eyes of Les ( the leader of ranchers) and his right hand Red.
Buck is flirtatious in a very modern expected way but the description of the sex scenes and story seem good.
