I was a little skeptical that the author could create a plausible yet sympathetic story for these characters: one with a recent loss of a loved one and the other a potential door mat..happily this is well handled so far. No about face or out of character moves. Some downright selfish ones...but because the story point of view switches between the Zack and Kate, we get some interesting insights. I like this book!
