Things have picked up a bit. But. Multiple buts. Too many to recount. The most outstanding 1. The romantic component 2. The five year old kid who misses his teddy bear being sent to military boot camp. These things grate and jar for me, but I am hanging on, I just so want this story to work out in the end.

This book started out so well. It has since turned into "twilight" with an alien in place of a vampire. Feeling a bit disappointed right now. Maybe, hopefully, it will improve.
