I love the insight you get about the characters from reading the book vs. watching the show. It's also SO much more rewarding and enjoyable to read once you are already familiar with the many, many characters. I constantly learn new ways the characters are related to each other. I also love learning more about the history of each house and more about the cultures I have seen In the show
