The author is a true professional, stating that the fight between two brothers is still not his business. He then proceeds to explain the situation very objectively.
I have now finished the book until the release of the second album. I still have nothing to complain about the writing style and I'm starting to get excited about playing music myself again.

John's youth was a great read, it really is interesting to get to learn more about the years prior to Dire Straits. It is also a welcome change to read how the lads met through one of the band members instead of through media.
I am now starting the section where Dire Straits was born, I am so excited to read the story to come. John has a great way of writing which results in an easy reading experience.

Nice introduction so far, excited to see what else the book will bring. It also includes a beautiful foreword by a well-respected virtuoso.
