To some extent, I can appreciate Rick Remender’s commitment to crafting a story purely based on the vibe of Smokey and the Bandit meets Mad Max, while supporting it with a plot that has the structural soundness of a 5-year-old’s toy block tower. It’s so sketchy it feels like he pulled the story and concept out of a drafts folder on a random Tuesday night and said, “Eh, let’s give it a go”.
