Celean tells Nehemia everything. She talks to Mort with Nehemia and then attends a ball in honour of Holland. She dances with Chaol and develops feelings for him (ew ew ew). She then visits Archer and tells him to hurry up with retrieving info. Dorian finds out about his fathers plans for Calculla and votes against it before leaving..

Archer meets with Celeana and finds out she is meant to kill him. She gives him a choice and he chooses to disappear at the end of the month, rumours on Aelin. Celeana goes to the party and gets attacked and drugged with Gloreilla but manages to get back to the castle in time.Celeana recovers and sees the thing in the library, She then chooses to search the library and discovers the secret entrance and the iron door.
