The idea that the only way to be happy is to be partnered is old fashioned, narrow minded and dumb. For my own part, I am much happier single and not dating than I ever was partnered. But even if Cris doesn’t want to be single forever, being pressured like this is unkind and uncool.

It has hard themes but I love gentle souls and Dex and Seb both have wonderfully gentle souls. I mentioned in a comment on your review that it’s a comfort read for me but I couldn’t put my finger on why exactly. It’s that, the gentleness and care in the way Seb treats Dex. Gah! It fills and feeds my soul.
Oh yes!! Seb is one of those characters who exists only in books😭😂 I’m glad it was a win again!! I don’t know why I haven’t read everything by GL. Her books usually wins for me.
