So far, the writing in this book is incredible. Not only is the style perfect for the story, but there’s just enough intrigue and the plot is moving at just the right pace. I’m honestly kind of shooting myself for putting this off for so long.

Jenna's parents are literally the biggest pieces of shit and I want to fart on everything they love. Besides going against nature with [redacted], they're being incredibly inhumane toward their own daughter. They care more about other peoples' jobs and Science than about Jenna's life or well-being. It's pissing me off.

On the one hand, I’m still riding high on the storytelling; I’m invested enough that I want to keep reading. On the other hand, Jenna just kissed a boy that she just met (for no reason). Pointless romantic subplots are one of the easiest ways to ruin my reading experience, especially when they move faster than the Road Runner. I just hope that if this book does take a romantic turn, it stays tasteful.

I first heard of “The Adoration of Jenna Fox” about three years ago; some close friends of mine in the reading and writing community were absolutely raving about it, and told me I had to read it. I had some gift card money at Barnes and Noble, so I bought the paperback, but I never actually even opened it. I just always forgot about it. But I guess late is better than never.
