The main character is very similar to some of John Green's other main characters, which bugs me a bit. Nerdy teenage boy who is introverted/doesn't talk much until he meets a girl who is a "special snowflake" and wild and crazy and breaks him out of his shell and they fall in love but their relationship is totally different from all other teenage relationships. I need some diversity in main characters!
