lmao who thinks black metal is the "most brutal form of metal". also, this scene is supposed to take place in 1985. Proto-black metal band Bathory didn't form until 1983 with others forming even later, and most of the first wave of black metal bands were European. Unless this poor Kansas farm boy is incredibly hip and has remarkable access to new records, I doubt he's listening to black metal :/
