I think that Gwen is very brave because she was able to go into the basement to cleanse my the house with sage. I also think that she is brave because she was able to face Amity without seeming scared at all. "The sage had been meant to cleanse. With another house, another space, another plot of earth, it might have worked" (41). This shows that she was brave enough to cleanse the house with sage.

I think that Connor is very judgmental. He is saying how Gwen's family only "lasted" in Amity for a short time, but he only lasted for a short time as well. "Twenty-eight days. Barley a month. That's how long they lasted, the Halls, at Amity"(6). This shows that he is partially judging the Halls because they didn't last very long at Amity.
