I know this book is controversial but I've been itching to reread and I'm so obsessed with Hanya Yanagihara's writing style it's so thoughtful and beautiful and it's one of those books that somehow feels so magical and so realistic at the same time? I'm so in love

I was so expecting to dnf this book again but omg it was so beautiful and so much less upsetting than expected

I'm sorry for updating every 5 seconds but I can't handle this
the happy years were not happy
okay yes they were but not anymore

I have never felt such connection to fictional characters oml hanya yanagihara just never misses

I was so ready to celebrate less than 100 pages left but apparently my copy has 816 pages 😭

the audiobook for this absolutely slays

the storytelling in this book is so elite the writing is possibly superior to any other I've read

this last chapter was very upsetting and that is all I can say

I am so thoroughly enjoying this book it is written in the most beautifully detailed way and the commentary on the characters and their relationships is just so perfect

I know I got at least this far when I started this last year but I stg I like read it in dutch or smthn cuz I actually don't remember anything but their names
