The most amazing part of this book was when Tally ran away. The way the author wrote that part out chills on my skin, and had my eyes glued to the page.

My favorite character is Tally. She is naive and I relate to her a lot. I love how strong she gets, but we all have our flaws and she for sure has flaws.

Reading inbeetween the lines, I have noticed the message the author wants to sell. The perfect body image is an awful thing, and having this will make girls kill to get it.

The uglies is a plot based book. It circles around the plot, and it wouldn't matter if this book took place in Manhattan Beach or Athens, because the settting isn't that important. Also, the book is all about the problems in the book and how the characters are going to solve the problems presesnted to them.

My favorite character in the Uglies is Tally. I like Tally because she is like me when I was younger, she is naïve and believes in a perfect body image. But now, I believe that everyone is beautiful.

The setting of this book is somewhere outside of New York in the near future. I know this because even the author doesn't say exactly where it is, the book describes big buildings and dying lights.
