The actual details are not mentioned in this book, and I couldn't find anything on the web either. Now this nosey besom wants to know. Did J leave the details out because of those letters?

But he was accused of "thrusting his hands in her bosom" with young ladies of gentle birth in his own parish! Ecclesiastic trial for heresy and everything.

mwhahahah - are genteel bosoms heretical? That must have been scandalous at the time, but to rap him with heresy seems harsh. As 'they' say, the past is an alien country.
