I actually started out liking him! But now i am really hating him. The way he treats Aelin when he stated that loved her and thinking about the poor humans without even accounting for what the king did to all the other kingdoms and those with magic 🙄

Oh me too. The book is a fail from the start with this trope.

@rasa thing is with her series, it’s not trope centred that’s why i didnt care. her world building and the plot line is so intricate and the characters are so interesting. i think in fantasies with detailed world building you have to read it differently than your normal contemporary books. like your along for the journey.

everytime i think of certain events in this series it makes me fucking cry and i’m not even a crier. give it a shot, you might not like the men but the female leads are everything. i know theres definitely characters in here that you would like and would root for. i know you like nesta so there’s great chance youd love celeana.

@simra, i agree! It annoys me to have the dead mate trope and multiple love interests, but the plot itself and the female characters make up for it! I have gotten teary eyed several times and i know i have more coming up!

I do agree with rasa too, i def like Rhysand more than Tamlin and Rowan more than Chaol, but i don’t like the processes by which we go through to like them more than the original guys.

since Chaol is from the original trio he doesn't feel like Tamlin at the end. he gets his own book and Rowan doesn't end up being a secondary lead after Chaol. i like that about this series because we get to see Chaol as a person apart from his role as a lover😌

yeah you definitely would have loved sam. her losing her powers pissed me off, she hardly even used it but apparently she’s making her comeback in the next CC book but you would have to read tog for the multiverse.

celeana definitely stands her ground she’s doesn’t take anyones shit😭she’s mean as fuck.

and i get that i’m also like that, probably part of being a chronic overthinker.
