My book is not an allegory because it is not representing something that happened in the past. Also, it is not an allegory because specific events aren't being shown in the book.

In this book, Auggie is still going through tough times. He has shaved his Padawan hair brade that he has had for years just because of kids at school. Augusts sister, Via, has had some tough times with her friends. Over the summer they changed there style going into high school, but didn't include Via and she is feeling very sad.

In the novel Wonder, Auggie has been facing many road blocks in his life because of his face. He doesn't have too many friends, but the worst problem is that he invites his home room class to his birthday party and only 5 people attend to his party. I have never felt this loneliness or feeling left out but I'm sure it hurts.

In my book I think the Inciting Incident is when Auggie goes to his first day of school. He is still figuring every thing out and what his friends are going to be. He has some struggles making friends, but he finally finds one.

In this book the story takes place at Auggies own house, but mostly his school. The school is like a regular middle school has halls, has a field, has a play ground, and last but not least bullies! This effects Auggie because he has a challenged face, he has never been to an actual school and is scared to start his first day. He has only a few friends to have his back, but that is not enough!

The struggle for August(auggie) is that he has had a demented face since he was born. He has had many surgeries since his birth date. He doesn't have many friends because of this issue. He is trying so hard to make friends at his new school.
