Best line of the book so far: when asked if everything was OK: "Oh, no.... World of no. All the no. The Tropics of Negative. Situation is not good, not peachy, not keen." LOL.

Pleasantly surprised at the more nuanced 'bad guy'. This is definitely turning into the sort of thriller that I like - smart, science-y, and scary. Not sure what is going to happen next.

One more lunchtime update: as someone who actually works day to day in clinical trials for a living -- I have just gotten used to having to suspend my disbelief that big bad corporations could get away with withholding bad side effects of new clinical products. (They really couldn't. Really.) I get the impression that this story is going that way, and I am a little disappointed. But maybe it wont? We'll see.

OK, this book is probably not a book to read on your lunch break. Or if you want to be able to eat ever again (shudders).
