Just finished chapter 12. Now “Samantha” has gotten away with the 3 hikers. One who is barely conscious ends up being taken by the creature. They want to get him back and plan to go to the cabin to get weapons and supplies. Jen steps into a bear trap so that doesn’t help the plan. Now they hear limping. From William.

Just finished chapter 8. Mattie gained the courage to talk to Griffith and CP. At least they know she’s there. William thinks he can outsmart the creature and kill it. While he’s distracted, Mattie is starting to brainstorm ideas for escaping.

I just finished chapter 5. From the build up of the characters of Mattie & William, I can understand the true terror has to feel every day from him. Obviously she has been with him since she was young & hinting to be an abducted child. Probably between 8-10 years old. She is now starting to regain her identity to create an escape plan. Also, the creature we told spared her.

I just finished chapter 5. From the build up of the characters of Mattie and William, I felt I have gotten a real understanding of the terror Mattie has to feel every day. Obviously she has been with him since she was young and hinting she was an abducted child. Probably between 8-10 years old. She now seems like she is regaining her identity to create a plan to get away. Also, the creature weirdly spared her life.
