The book started getting better, then a nosedive. I don't think im going finish it. The framing of the novel is recordings or letters that happened to survive , or that were intentionally kept by one side or the other. But they are full of info totally out of place in the context . A drill worker writing a letter to his wife, including excruciating detail the tech details of his drill etc. Not worth the time!
