These last couple pages have been brutal. Hannah witnesses a rape and is in a car accident. Both of them she could have stopped, even though no one blames her, she blames herself for not preventing the incidents. Now I understand why Hannah was in so much pain, I don't know what I would have done in her situation.

The last update was supposed to be for page 220

It turns out Clay was not put on Hannah's list because he did something bad to hurt her. He was the one that actually listened and Hannah connected with. Unfortunately, Hannah went into panic mode and never told Clay about her suicide thoughts. I wonder how I would have reacted to hearing something like this?

Clay just found out that the next tape is about him. He wants to know why he did to Hannah to make her put him on her list but at the same time he is scared to hear what she has to say.

In one of Hannah's classes each person had a bag that other people could put notes in to compliment them about something. Zach was stealing all of Hannah's notes she was receiving. This especially upset her because she was going through a hard time and really could have used those notes of encouragement.

The next tape is about a guy named Zach. Hannah at first makes Zach sound like a really sweet guy, he was there when she needed help. However, she says he also did something terrible, something that no one knows about. I wonder what Zach did?

It turns out that Courtney had said some nasty things about Hannah, and the only reason she invited Hannah to the party was to clear her name. Courtney only did this so people would not think badly of her.

The book specifically talks about the main character Clay listening to the tapes. I wonder how the other people who received the tapes reacted when they listened to them?

I wonder why Clay is one of the reasons why Hannah killed herself? He seems like a good kid that would never do something to make someone feel that way.

Even though I have just started this book the one question I keep wondering is why would a seemingly normal girl would kill herself at such a young age?
