At the peak of the war, I can see the reason that Kyle is there is to protect Kuwait from its oil getting stolen and searching for chemical weapons. He says he is protecting his country, but he needs to open his eyes; neither of those tasks are a threat to USA.

The amount of abuse the SEALS had to go to for just the basic training is crazy. The instructors throw flash-bangs at the cadets to get their attention! (Only for punishment of Hell Week).
