Notes:
(1) Amalthea the goat dispenses Pepsi products from her udders.
- Makes you wonder what Coca-Cola did wrong to get on her and/or the gods' bad side.
(2) In the same sort of way that Annabeth crushed on Luke, Luke seems to feel that way about Thalia.
- So, there's a bit of a love-triangle amongst this trio.
(3) Luke and Thalia get told their futures, though, as we already know what happens, there's no intrigue.

(1) The last story is written by Rick's son Haley. Naturally, it's not very polished.
(2) I have a hunch that Haley must be influenced by Dan Brown, because we get the same top-of-his-field, world-renown, middle-aged, academic who gets dragged into some religious-themed adventure.
(3) The other protagonist, Alabaster, reminds me of the vampire kid from "Let the Right One In."
- Dr. Claymore is his new "human."

(1) The maenads are underage. By necessity, I understand, since they have to be romantically viable to Leo, but it's still all sorts of problematic.
(2) "'Hello!' The girl in the blood-red dress beamed at Leo. 'Are you Dionysus?'
There was only one answer to that.
'Yes!' Leo yelped. 'Absolutely. I am Dionysus.'"
- I enjoy the subtle "Ghostbusters" reference: "When someone asks you if you're a god you say yes!"

(1) Annabeth gets miffed, thinking Percy forgot the 1-month anniversary of their first kiss.
- I'd never peg her as that sort of girl.
- They weren't even a couple until over a book later.
(2) Hermes: "The caduceus serves as my signature pad, my GPS, my
phone, my parking permit, my iPod Shuffle—really, I can’t do a thing without it."
- Not so impressive today. Any basic smart phone could do the same, and more.
