Checking out any library book more than 400 pages has always been risky for me to finish on time.
The prologue is mostly boring politics and the origins of main characters' births, but once you're past that, I'd say that the storylines are more fast-paced and intriguing than Priory is. Shannon has perfected the formula of giving a small cliff hanger before switching to the next chapter/POV.
