Finally making some forward momentum in this book, though I am jumping around quite a bit depending on when I watch the film listed. Have now watched over 200 of the 1001 (130 of which are rewatches)
Whoever compiled this list certainly likes D.W. Griffith, unfortunately.

Up to 88 entries and the sheer number of factual errors is astounding. Very few of these writers seemed to think “maybe I should watch this film again before writing this entry to make sure I’m remembering it right.” Because, friends, they often are not.

Finally making some forward progress in this one after forcing a rewatch of The Birth of a Nation. I knew it was bad, but I forgot just how awful it was. At this point have watched around 60 of the 1001.

A Trip to the Moon and The Great Train Robbery.

Updates on this one will be complicated as I plan on watching each film before I read its entry, and doing so in chronological order (as they appear in the book) isn’t really the best method. We’ll see just how long it takes, though.
